Mark Eckersley is a teacher, writer and theatre practitioner. He completed an Ass. Dip. of Performing Arts in Acting at QUT, and worked for Sugar and Spite Theatre Company, the TN Theatre Company and the Queensland Theatre Company. He studied Theatre Directing at Victorian College of the Arts. Mark Eckersley worked as a Dramaturg for Bob Mazza at the First Aboriginal Playwright's Conference Mark then worked for Melbourne Theatre Company as an Assistant Director. He completed a Grad. Dip. of Education at Deakin University and a Masters of Education at the University of Melbourne. He has worked in education in Australia, Asia and the Middle East and is the author of many books on drama.
