I鈥檝e given over sixty conference presentations, authored a dozen publications, directed fifty Master鈥檚 theses, and received several small grants relating to research and instructional development on topics such as advanced technology in college mathematics, mathematics study skills, developmental mathematics students, qualitative research in mathematics education, and students' ways of knowing mathematics. My research focuses on the mathematical beliefs and practices of students and teachers and how those beliefs affect teaching and learning. I鈥檓 also interested in the possibilities for and ramifications of advanced technology in content and objectives of mathematics.
