When asked what I do, my two girls say 鈥渕y daddy is an oilman.鈥� I am a lawyer by training with an undergraduate degree in accounting. After practicing law for about five years I went to work in the oil & gas business in 2001. Since that time I have and have been involved, either as General Counsel or CEO, in raising more than $2.5 billion in capital; have evaluated, negotiated, and closed dozens of acquisitions, a takeover, and numerous divestitures; have personally participated in hundreds of oil and gas wells; and fell in love with the greatest business in the world.
