Maya is a mental health artist and activist. She pursues as many opportunities as possible to co-create cultures of healing, support and connection. She currently works for Art With Impact, a nonprofit organization that uses the arts as a means of bringing people together and reducing stigma around mental health issues. Maya holds a master's degree in Counseling Psychology: Drama Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She spent one year working as a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee at the Liberation Institute, working with individuals, couples and groups.
