In 1978, created McEwen International Travel with partner, George Steinbrenner, and developed it into a large successful corporate travel agency. In time, this involved travel to over 100 countries in Asia, Europe and Africa. Travel specialities included McEwen Video Production for television, newsletters, magazine and newspaper articles. My husband, Tom McEwen (former Sports Editor of the Tampa Tribune, one time President of the Football Writers of America, and elected to the Football Hall of Fame), and I have interacted with many sports figures and team owners. We have also helped bring major sporting events to Florida ranging from the Super Bowl to major golf tournaments.
