Following Steps To Add Product Properly
-> Add products in Magento
-> Add images to your products
-> Manage product attributes
-> Manage product tags

Add Products in Magento
To add product, you have to login in magento control panel. After
login go to magento admin area which located at the top right of the
page and then Catalog -> Manage Products -> Add Product.

You need to select the product's settings (Attribute Set
and Product Type) and click “Continue”.

On the next page you will have
to fill in the product options
(Discription, Short discription,
Name, SKU (Stock Keeping
Unit), Weight, Status
(Enabled/Disabled), Tax Class,
etc). You can also add custom
attributes to the product using
the “Create New Attribute”
button.

The next option is "Price".
Here you will have to fill in the
price for your product and
some additional price options
such as Tier Price and
Special Price. After filling all
the options, click on a "Save"
button.

Add Images to Your Products
To add image for product: Go to Admin panel-> catalog-> Manage
Products-> Select Product-> Edit Then Browse product image
file. Finally, label your image and choose where it should appear
using the radio buttons on the right. Click Save to save your
product's image.

How to Manage Product Attributes
To create an attribute: Go to
Admin panel-> catalog->
Attributes then Right click.
You will have two options to
choose from. Select "Manage
attribute" which allow you to
“Add new attribute”.

Clicking on the [Create New
Attribute] button which will allow
you to add attributes to your
products:

Once you are ready with the
attribute, click on the “Save
Attribute” button. Then Go to
Admin panel-> catalog->
Manage products->
Categories and select a
proper category to add
product.

Manage Product Tags
Go to your Magento admin area -> Catalog -> Tags -> All
tags to view all your tags and also you can add new tag.

If you want to add new tag for product then click
on "Add New Tag".

After creating the tags, click on each tag. You’ll see a detailed
set of options to “Edit Tag”.

Go to the “Products tagged as administrator” tab, click on
“Reset Filter” . You see all your products getting listed.
Select the products to which you want to assign the tag &
click on “Save Tag”.

You have successfully added your product.
You must need to refresh the cache for first time use only.
