Megan McDermett completed a dietetic internship at Indiana University School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences from August 2015 to June 2016. During her internship, she gained experience in clinical nutrition, foodservice management, and community nutrition. She presented a grand round seminar on preventing cognitive decline and proposed a grant on the MIND diet and gut microbiome/cognition. McDermett earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Georgia in May 2015 and was an active leader in her sorority. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and holds ServSafe certification.
