Born in Kamawet village, Maulamyaing, Myanmar. Had basic education in Morton Lane Judson High School in Mawlamyaing. Attended Theological seminary in Myanma Institute of Theology in Insein and completed in 1972. Had also attended a Christian communication studies in Trinity and All Saints College in Leeds, Sally Oat College and Hatch End Catholic TV and Radio Traning Centre in UK in 1988-89. Completed serving with the Myanmar baptist Convention in 2002 December. Started a new ministry in BKK in 2006. Married to Aye Aye Saw in 1975 and had three sons, Sammy, Simon and Stephen.
