As a Masters level teacher, I worked independently and with groups of other instructors to provide cross-curricular instruction for students. When I was a Library Director, I was responsible for the yearly budget of the library, managing the collection, handling personnel issues, and writing grant proposals. My short-lived career as a Medical Librarian (it only lasted six months) was exciting and informative, and the potential of the position was great...but the funding was not available to make the position what it could have been, and I needed a full time position.
