Michael Finch is a Captain in the United States Army seeking a MPAff at the LBJ School of Public Affairs. He has served for over eight years and has three combat deployments, two to Afghanistan and one to Iraq. Mike has held numerous leadership positions within the Army from platoon leader to aide-de-camp which has exposed him to a wide variety of governance and government officials, both foreign and domestic. Following graduation, he intends to continue his service in the Army with a better understanding of how policy decisions are made in order to foster relationships between the military and government officials.
