I believe that people will always act in the interest of people, and we need to reconnect to the environment in order to fully understand how nurturing a sustainable ecosystem benefits us as much as non-human biota. We must allow space for our poorest, most isolated and oppressed populations to have a voice, because it is through them that we can re-discover what it means to be human. We cannot continue to value people based on their economic status, and must realize that indigenous and alterNative knowledges are important to regaining our sense of identity and health.
