I'm the Senior Dental Technician in the 2nd-floor technical services laboratory with the Dental School at the University of Otago. I've been here since November 2012, and our laboratory focuses on servicing the patients that go through undergraduate and postgraduate treatment during their studies.
I've also gained my registration in Clinical Dental Technology (CDT), where I am assigned certain days of the week to work on patients who need removable pros treatment. I make my own laboratory components for my clinical appointments and it allows me to utilise my experience in dental technology to innovate in the clinics with removable pros.
