Human trafficking and sex slavery are growing problems in the United States according to news reports. Fighting human trafficking requires going after criminals, fighting the poverty that enables it, and recognizing that victims are people, not just numbers—they could be our own children. To truly stop human trafficking, people must move beyond just reading statistics and take action to guarantee everyone's safety and protect potential victims.
