My areas of specialism are UK amphibians (I hold a Level 2 Science & Conservation Great Crested Newt Licence), bats (I hold a Level 2 VBRV and Science & Conservation Licences), entomology (Coleoptera, Lepidoptera and Aculeate Hymenoptera) and general ecology / botany.
My background is in volunteer training, urban biodiversity, public speaking, and Biological Recording. I’m an advocate of citizen science through good mentorship and a specialist in using digital comms for conservation organisations.
I’m also a blogger, photographer, author, editor and website administrator.
