The Virginia Tech massacre was carried out by Seung-Hui Cho, who killed 32 people and wounded 17 others on the Virginia Tech campus on April 16, 2007. Cho first shot and killed two students in a dormitory and then two hours later chained the doors to Norris Hall and went from classroom to classroom shooting people. In total at Norris Hall, Cho killed 30 people and wounded 17 before turning the gun on himself. It was the deadliest shooting rampage by a single gunman in U.S. history.
