Dr. Gartland works in the fields of business analytics, applied statistics and strategy. He spends his time teaching and researching in the areas of data mining, predictive models, business intelligence and big data. Specifically he works with ensemble and supervised learning models to aid businesses gain better insight to their products, customers and operations. Further he works with firms on how to utilize data and analysts as a key part of their strategy.
