Nirmala has previously been an Assessor for the South African Business Excellence Foundation and has been actively involved in improving the investment climate project based on the World Bank's Doing Business Report in positioning Mauritius globally and No 1 in Africa since 2006. She is currently the chairperson of SADC Investment Sub Committee and has previously been a board member of COMESA RIA.
