To Daughter Susan
Looking Back
Looking back I often see,
in the mirrors of my mind.
Reflections looking back at me,
Of the daughter i lost and I left behind.
I see now, how things could have been.
I see now, how things could have changed.
But it's to late for all that when,
In my soul, I bear these chains.
The hurt I feel can not be erased.
Can't be wiped clean, from lifes cold slate
This is a cross that I must bear
Is this what they call fate?
In my heart you'll always be there
and that will never change
In my mind you are with me
And forever you will remain.
Love you very much
Mum xx
