Position and Purpose
Provide leadership, development, and direct management of over all housekeeping
Operation, manage the cleanliness and appearance of all guest accommodation and
public space and to ensure that all personnel performing housekeeping. Function
Carry out all their work assignment according to the hotel standards. Responsible
for all housekeeping supplies, linen, work orders and any of all duties assigned or
requires.
Essential Duties
- Establish and delegate daily work assignment to all Housekeeping staff.
- Hire train, schedule, and review all department staff, check quality work
monitor productivity , motivates staff and prepares of authorize weekly
payroll.
- Directly supervise and conduct coach and counseling session with the
members of housekeeping department
- Maintain regular contact with all operational members
- Manage department budget, monthly, expenses for staff and supplies
Participate in the in the development of the annual and capital budget
- Inspect guest rooms daily for preventative maintenance, needed repairs and
to ensure cleaning standard and adhered to
- Schedule especial cleaning and projects and progress as needed.
- Maintain inventory of all guest and housekeeping supplies and linens.
- Maintain lost and found and property and keys log
- Maintain accountability for issuing all keys

- Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff in associate performance
evaluation, training and development
- Assist the General manager in the development of the departments annual
budget
- Participate in cost control system for staffing, inventories, linen and cleaning
supplies
- Enforces policies and procedure in the department
- Ensure quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs and that guest
relations are enhanced
- Direct hourly associates in all areas of the department
- Prepares daily assignment sheets for all housekeeping and laundry
associates
- Maintains cleanliness quality based on hotel objectives
- Inspect, monitors and maintains level of cleanliness in all assigned guest
rooms
- Report all unsatisfactory condition to the room attendant assigned and takes
personal responsibility to ensure that action are taken to remedy any
substandard cleanliness or maintenance related condition in each guest
room
- Assumes responsibility for the guest feedback and guest service scores in all
department related indices
- Inspect, monitors and maintain level of cleanliness in event areas, storage
areas ,restroom and public areas and offices
- Compiles and report accurate status of all guestrooms to the front desk
department
- Maintains productivity and labor cost goals
- At the direction of the executive housekeeper participate in ordering of
supplies so as to maintain adequate inventory levels
- Conduct formal inventories of linen supplies and equipment as required
- Check all vacant rooms and spaces, public areas storage areas and rest areas

- Makes up morning work assignment to ensure all areas of building are

- Supervise the activities assistant of Assistant Housekeeper Room Attendant
- Laundry House man and Night cleaners engage in all types of the hotel
cleaning operation
- Interview hires, train and assign and schedule, dept. personnel checks quality
of work performed and makes appropriate, correction and changes as
necessary
- Handle guest complaints concerning housekeeping service or refers problem
to management for adjustment
- Requisition uniform and supplies
- Supervise the testing of new products for the housekeeping department
- Notifies maintenance of any needed repairs
- Personally inspect all check out rooms daily to ensure cleanliness standard
are being met
- Help guest employee and employee in everyway possible when called upon
and does it willingly and pleasantly
- Checks and vacant rooms for condition and possible when called upon and

- Checks room to ensure that lights are working properly, inspect for needs

after a guest check –out
