My birth name is Persephone Hunter. Persephone (pronounced per-se- fo-nee) is from Greek Mythology. My mom's roommate in college was named Persephone (Walker) and was called Pepper. I was given both names when I was born. Persephone, although a beautiful name, is not "user friendly" so I am "Pepper" to friends, family and clients. When I hear someone calling me "Persephone", I know that's a school friend.
