It's all about perspective.
I've driven forklifts and stuffed brush into large wood chippers, and I've written in office buildings and out of coffee shops. I've served breakfast and I've sold ipods, and at each place I've gained some sort of perspective. Some of those jobs were valuable stepping stones in the journey. Others left me with the thought, "don't screw up or you'll be doing this the rest of your life."
Well, I didn't screw up, and I actually managed to learn some things along the way. I learned about people, about what entertains them, what affects them, what makes them tick. I learned how things work and how people want things to work, and why the difference is important.
