For a decade, I had a dream gig as the spokesperson for the Office of Polar Programs at the National Science Foudnation, a job that took me to both poles of the Earth and allowed me to interact wiht members of the national press corps.
If you saw the Today Show live broadcast from Antarctica in 2007, you have me to thank, at least in a small way.
About two years ago, I turned to speechwriting and now write for the NSF director and deputy director.
