Biblioteca Racoasa s-a infiintat in anul 1952 pe suportul unei biblioteci satesti nestiindu-se cu exactitate cine a infiintat-o si numarul de volume existent la inceput.Actualmente biblioteca numara peste 10 000 de volume si peste 500 de utilizatori activi.
