Highest Social Status at any point in time is your current Social Status.

9. SSS WHAT ABOUT IT?
It links to:
Players floors access current social status is the top floor you are allowed to access. E.g. Level 17 can access the
first 17 floors)
Players apartment (housing) your current housing is based on your social status. It can mean, not sharing a
flat, having more space, storage, etc.
Work (job available) Some jobs require minimum education and social status to be available. E.g. If you are Level
10, you cant become Captain of Police on floor 15.
Reputation System Good and bad reputation can affect the Social Status of a citizen, especially if the citizen is
having a public career, such as a politician.
Public Combat Winning or losing a public performance could impact the Social Status of a citizen. E.g. Reaching the
Top 10 of a combat style or hunting category could propel the citizen to a higher Social Status because of his fame.
Public Hunting same as combat. An higher social status might give access to better hunting creatures, grounds, etc.
Education Proper education can slightly improve Social Status. Once you get education, you need to apply it. Doing
nothing with it will not make you a higher citizen.
Crime Committing crime(s) decrease your Social Status based on the severity of the crime. But globally, even if criminal
actions are possible in the game, it is not encourage. Murdering can lead to lost of Citizenship and housing in the city.
Offline playing When a player is offline, his citizen is still online. Not programming offline actions for an active citizen
will influence negatively Social Status.
Etc.
10. SYNAPSE SYSTEM
Real life use a similar system.
Human brain
Muscles Rough example: A brain neuron creates a new synapse when
you learn something new. By repeating the neuron related action
the synaptic connection gets reinforced. By not repeating the
action, the synaptic connection degenerated and eventually dies.
In the Circus:
A synapse is created when a new action is performed. Each
synapse has a life cycle and can be reinforce or can
degenerate based on actions performed or not performed.

13. SYNAPSE SYSTEM WHAT ABOUT
IT?
It links to:
Physical Health / Muscles of player Each muscle group has a synapse. A strong player would need to
continue to perform training / activities to maintain a specific muscle strength.
Social Relationship Develop and maintain relationship with other citizens. Strong synaptic relationship with higher
Social Status citizen can have an impact on your reputation, your Social Status of your political influence. Having strong relationship
with a lower class citizen can impact negatively your reputation. A relation degrades over time if not maintained, stimulated.
Offline gaming A player need to program some offline actions of his citizen otherwise some specific synapses could
degenerate faster than others. In example, a professional swordsman muscles and reflexes need to be train daily to stay at the
synapses master level (10).
Player Intelligence(s) Each muscle group has a synapse. A strong player would need to continue to perform
training / activities to maintain a specific muscle strength.

19. PERMADEATH
Its nothing new. It exists since a while. We just need it to return in more games.
When a game is too easy people get bored and stop playing.
When a game is too hard people gets irritated and stop playing.
Most current MMORPG: unlimited deaths.
People gets fearless in game as the are no real penalties (at best, for a few mins).
To get some adrenalin and stimulus: FEAR is required. Fear is mainly created from
taking significant risks.
In this game: permanent death exists. After a few revive via a cloning system,
the DNA degenerate and leads to permadeath.
- Not only one (1) life.
- A few. Lets say 20. Enough to waste a few by stupidity or accident before
becoming cautious (managing risks).
-Higher citizen could have access to a few more, but not many.
- Recidivist murderer to into sudden permadeath mode. Living their last life
into the hunting dome (hunted by Higher citizen(s)).
20. ALIENS
No real alien yet. But some crazy lifeforms already are around us.
Humans and multiples alien races will be living together in the Circus. Each race will
have different aptitudes and features.
We need more non-humanoid lifeforms. Its too easy (boring) to play them otherwise.

21. WORKING SYSTEM
In the current society, there are workers and non-workers. We will discuss later about
the non-workers. For workers, there are thousands of existing jobs and many are
created on a daily basis.
In real life, the profession of someone is the major link to his social status.
In this game: almost every real jobs could exist.

Automatic low level housing. Sharing an apartment with 3 other players (no choice).
Small regular income to spend (very small versus active citizens)
Not available to recidivist criminals
Its the starting base of most players
To become independent, just need to increase your social status. Housing will be upgraded automatically (or
downgrade if you are dropping social status)
23. EDUCATION
While some base education will be superficial. We want the regular/advanced player to
learn something about the game / its systems or even real life things.
E.g. A camera operator training would give access to:
Whats a camera operator in this game / in the Circus (role, overview, etc.)
How to operate the basic functions of a Circus camera (record, play, etc.)
What are the basic framing or shot length, etc. (close up, medium shot, etc.)
So, if then a player tries to get a Cameraman job in the game, he got the virtual mini-diploma to prove he has some knowledge of the job.
