Trained as academician. Started the career after completing the Ph.D at ISEC, Bangalore. Academic career began at Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune. Worked as Dean for Research Publication in an International NGO Management Research Centre at Bangalore. Then had brief spells in Madras Institute of Development Studies (MIDS), Chennai and Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai.
Published four books including two books by foreign publications. One of the books is available in OECD website. More than 25 articles in standard journals like EPW.
