My field of interest includes research and design solutions to increase academic opportunities for Latino students (K-16), through organizational leadership, instructional design, and online and blended education. While working at the University of Texas at Austin, I implemented innovative credit recovery systems to reduce the Hispanic drop out rate in Texas, which has benefitted thousands of students since the year 2005. Currently, I'm exploring how MOOCs can be tailored to meet the needs of the Latino community in the United States and how leveraging massive open online courses and modules help individuals build their own career paths.
