Hi ! I am currently employed by the University of Derby as an associate lecturer. I can geekily say that that I'm finally in a profession I fully enjoy! My previous work life has always involved a customer facing environment, (retail and banking). I felt this suited me very well because like many ladies I very much enjoy talking! I loved getting to know regular customers and having friendly chatter all day, even liked the more challenging customers as it mixed things up! However after a few years this type of work didn't feel 100% right (maybe around 70%!) So when a friend suggested that I come teach, it seemed to be the perfect career move.
