Riccardo Salvini has experience in Remote Sensing, Digital Photogrammetry, Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Laser Scanning analyses applied to geological investigations. Since 2004, he is PhD researcher with tenured position in Engineering Geology (sector 04/A3) at the University of Siena. He started in 2001 lecturing on remote sensing applied to land management, photogeology and stability analyses of rocky slopes. In 1998, he awarded with distinction the Professional Master degree in Geoinformatics (Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing specialization) at ITC (International Institute of Aerospace Survey and Earth Sciences, the Netherlands).
