I got a degree from Oxford Poly in 1988, moved to London, worked in several jobs before getting my PhD from St George's in 1997. Met my (now) wife in 1996, moved up to Greater Manchester in 1998 to be nearer to her, lived and worked here ever since. My son was born in 2004 and my daughter in 2008, both an unbelievably brilliant, life-changing handful.
