As an Environmental Specialist and Sustainable Grocery Sector Lead at EPA Region 1's Innovation and Sustainability Unit, I use the convening, partnership, and planning power of government to leverage improved environmental performance with food retailers.
My goals for FY17 include:
1) Continue to assist FRESH Coalition, a multi-stakeholder group that develops and publishes sustainability Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the food retail sector.
2) Improve the efficiency and profitability of food retailers by promoting EPA's voluntary programs (including Food Recovery Challenge, WasteWise, GreenChill, SmartWay, Safer Choice labels, and Energy Star).
