Formerly a wanderer, now a med student. Still feeling pretty rootless, but my life has become a coherent project with a long trajectory rather than the month-by-month improvisational adventure that it had been.
l begin residency in pediatrics in June of 2011. Can't say where I'll go; I'm looking at programs all over the country. Ultimately I'm thinking pediatric pulmonology, and I'm interested in chronic disease, public health and disaster medicine. Lots of possibilities to imagine--always an adventure. Though my body may not yet be rooted in place, my soul has become firmly rooted in purpose.
