As a GMDSS "M" category Radio Operator, I am responsible for:
Ensuring the compliance with SOLAS and Brazil's Navy legislations;
Sending alert messages (in real situations or weekly exercise messages) (including the positioning of the unit in distress and the designation of such alert) through GMDSS equipment;
Coordinating information of location and maritime security;
Transmissions, bridge to bridge, bridge to shore & bridge to aircraft communications and communications in general.
