- 3. Assistive Tools It is said that students with learning disabilities and special needs benefit from educational environments that are very interactive, engaging and visual. For the special needs math department I have selected assistive technology in the form of a math software by the name Making Sense With Numbers and for the special needs art department finger painting.
- 4. Math Department The software Making Sense with Numbers is a collection of nine activities around early number work. The activities vary from number recognition, counting, dot-to-dot, dominoes, memory activities and even painting by numbers
- 5. Art Department With the students brain functions responding dramatically to visual and physical interaction allowing the students to finger paint and actually feel the paint can trigger brain function allowing for the retention of the name of the color they are currently painting with.
