I fell in love with English language when I joined an English class right after my O/Levels and got a handle on the basics of the English language. To practice what I learned at the class, I started scribbling pieces of mush (I can no longer honestly call them creative writings) on the few remaining blank pages of the used exercise books.
To pick up new words, I鈥檇 leaf through the Malalasekera Sinhala English Dictionary and write down any word that I took a fancy to along with its meaning in Sinhala.
