UK SMART Recovery transitioned to a charity in 2014 without losing any partners. In 2015, it continued expanding across the UK including rolling out its Family & Friends program. A new board led by Prof. Robin Davidson was established and the central office relocated to Birmingham. Angie King was hired as the new director to further grow SMART in the UK. Two new coordinators joined the team.
