Sal Valadez is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he was awarded an M.A., Political Science (Alternative Futures Program), a B.A., Political Science, and a Certificate in Spanish. He is bilingual in Spanish and English. Sal was born in Mexico and grew up in Aurora, IL. A high school drop-out, Sal served in the U.S. Army where he earned his GED & HS diploma. He received an honorable discharge.
Sal has extensive experience in the non-profit higher and education sectors. Throughout his professional career, he has been an advocate for our underserved and marginalized communities.
