After his early career in embedded system development at Valmet Process Automation, Dr. Turunen has worked 27 years in different expert and R&D leadership positions at Nokia Mobile Phones and later at Microsoft Mobile. During his career he has led numerous technology development projects in sensor, user interface, and positioning technologies. Many of the projects have been multidisciplinary, covering the complete implementation from sensor physics to integrated circuits, algorithms, and embedded SW.
