I am investigating the basis of resistance to scab in Asian pears and in Eurasian pear hybrids. The research group I am in (and collaborators at Plant and Food NZ and in Korea) are interested in the nature of host and non-host resistance to scab diseases of pome fruit with a durable resistance focus.
