I have always sought balance in my life - balance between my personal and professional interests, between intense physical exertion and deep stillness, between analyzing/planning and just allowing life to unfold. I also love to create through photography, music, carpentry and circuit design. Since 1973 pretty much every day begins for me with yoga and meditation. I am passionate about anything I apply myself to, including my work at the National Snow and Ice Data Center. My favorite recreational activities include mountain biking, barefoot running, XC skiing, rock climbing, mountaineering, cayoneering, rafting and kayaking. I am inexpressibly grateful for the life I have been given.
