CzechGlobe is a European research institute that investigates the impacts of global change through advanced instrumentation. The author supported the establishment of CzechGlobe and served on its advisory board. Currently, the author works with CzechGlobe's remote sensing department to process and analyze thermal hyperspectral data for applications in agriculture, forestry, and urban sustainability while still employed by the National Snow and Ice Data Center.

Explanation of My Role at CzechGlobe CzechGlobe (http://czechglobe.cz/en/), the Global Change Research Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, is a European center of excellence investigating the impacts of global change on the atmosphere, biosphere and human society through the application of advanced instrumentation and techniques. I supported the development of proposal to the European Unions Regional Development Fund that led to the establishment of CzechGlobe, and then served on its Science Advisory Board for several years. Currently, I support CzechGlobe by working with the staff in Department of Remote Sensing on processing and analysis of thermal hyperspectral data in applications related to agriculture, forestry and urban sustainability.
