I have a long research experience incorporating environmental issues into the production of arable and horticultural biomasses and the implementation of the key issues of sustainability into food and feed chain and rural entrepreneurship. Concrete tools in my research have been supply-demand chain based LCA, eco-design of food and rural products and strategic and foresight approach into food sustainability. I have attended EU rural foresight studies and a working group of the Committee for the Future of the Finnish Parliament focusing on global bio-policy and its impacts, and also in the steering group of the Finnish National Strategy of Food, published on the 18th of June 2010, and at prese
