My name is Jared, and together with my Latina wife Diana, we blog about Spanish slang and learning Spanish. Many of our articles come from our personal encounters with Spanish (such as "Is my underwear inside-out or backwards?). On Speaking Latino we also explore one of the most difficult aspects of the Spanish language: the language diversity among Spanish-speaking countries. Yes, this language is different in every Spanish-speaking country. What? Nobody ever mentioned that before? I’m not surprised, I had the same experience as I learned Spanish. We wade through the numerous cultural, language, grammar, and pronunciation differences throughout Latin America.
