living

About the farm
Solaris Valley Organic Farm
 A beautiful USDA certified organic
farm
 Located in Doi Suthep, Chiangmai,
Thailand
 A working farm producing different
types of organic vegetables, fruits and
nuts.
 Main research station for macadamia
nuts
 The owner of the farm would like to
eventually convert the farm into a
training and research center promoting
organic production.
About the trip
 First time hosting visitors
 Proposed date: 15-17/18 September 2016 (crossing the mid-Autumn Festival)
 2-nights or 3 nights stay subjected to preference
 4 shared room and 2 double bed room for sharing with shared bathroom facilities
 Max. participant this time is 8 persons
 Local transportation to/from Chiangmai Airport
 Activities may include: learning and participating in organic farming; harvesting and
practice Thai cooking fresh from the farm
 Bush walk visiting surrounding communities
 Community project for cross culture exchange, if available
Some Basic Rules
 No smoking inside the farm
 Respect the local culture , protect the environment and the
ecosystem
 Be self-reliance
 Bottled water from retail outlets are discouraged. Filtered and
boiled drinking water will be provided. Participants are
encouraged in bringing their own water bottle for water refill
 Participants are expected to stay in the farm throughout the
program
 No outside-the-program visitors are allowed
 Be self-insured and self-cared
