About
Dr. Stefano Biffani was born in Rome in 1968. In 1994 he took a Bachelor Degree in Tropical and Subtropical Agricultural Science at the University of Florence. In1996 he moved to Brazil where he spent 4 years, taking a MSc and a PhD in Animal Breeding.
In 2000 he started to work with dairy cattle at the Italian Holstein Breeders Association(ANAFI). His main duties were:
• Supervising routine genetic evaluation procedures
• Developing and implementing pipelines for data analyses
• Applying novel statistical methodologies to genetic/phenotypic data
• Developing new tools and services to be used by farmers and technicians
