Steffen Hertog is an associate professor in comparative politics at the London School of Economics. He was previously Kuwait Professor at Sciences Po in Paris, lecturer at the University of Durham, post-doc at Princeton University and received his Ph.D. from the University of Oxford. His main research interest lies in Gulf and Middle East political economy, with special focus on public sector reform, labour markets and state-business relations.
