I currently serve as Chairman of the Career Technical Education (CTE) Committee. Our goal is to increase and improve the "hands-on" training opportunities in the high schools and college in Marquette and Alger Counties. We want to help our kids find good paying jobs that best matches their interests and their abilities.
I was asked to participate in the Bill Signing Ceremony with Governor Snyder on June 25, 2014 at a high school near Detroit. The legislation modifies the Michigan Merit Curriculum to allow more students to take Career Technical Education classes.
