I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the UNAM. I later obtained a Masters in Epidemiology at University of Guelph in Canada I know the Mexican meat industry. I was the executive director for five years OCETIF, the Mexican trade association of meat companies that manages the third-party certification for federally inspected plants (TIF) which allows them to export to the U.S. I helped several Mexican meat facilites to obtain their certification.
