Thato 'Cula' Tlhaku member of duo Oral Deep
Oral Deep is an Afro Deep and Deep house music duo, formed by two young and talented producers
Thato Tlhaku and Thapelo Nkoane also known as Cula and Legae respectively, from Temba, a small
township about 40km north of Pretoria, South Africa.
They both started producing in 2007 when they met through a mutual friend. Their learning part of their
journey took about two years, taking their productions to a local radio station in their home town,
asking listeners to comment and using the comments to improve their sound. The Oral Deep sound is
deep house infused with African traditional instruments, rhythms and melodies as well as killer bass
lines.
