I research how people and technology interact to inform design recommendations. As a learning scientists, I specialize in understanding how people learn across settings. I have conducted studies in a variety of different areas including mathematics and science education, the implementation of new technologies in higher education, and video game play in homes. My design recommendations are based on field studies, cognitive walkthroughs, focus groups, and user interviews.
