What does deculturalization mean to you? Here are a few answers from you!! Ending the common use of a language, traditions, or beliefs of a society through forced ends. lack of sensitivity or interest in other cultures I think it means to not full understand your culture It means taking over a culture and replacing core values and ideas with another cultures values and ideas the loss of such behaviors as would have been traditionally used to characterize a group of people (at the community, regional, national level, etc.). The loss of the experiences or lessons taught by the presence of diverse cultures. It means that instead of embracing the various cultures in our area and taking aspects from all of them, we erase all individuality, specific to certain cultures and taunt those who still cling to their heritage. Taking away what one believes in, religion, tradition, language; it is stripping someone of their life. Just like what happened to the Natives of this land we call America. It is happening again, everyday..... The removal of cultural influences that may differ from those that are most dominant in an area.

Ask yourself!?! Why did English Invaders turn cultural differences into racial differences? Why do many people do that? Why do some people think that this country can only tolerate one language? Are these concerns motivated by politics or education? Why do some people think wealth is a sign of blessing? How can the United States claim to be homeland of freedom?
